Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using UktubAI, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the service.

2. Service Overview

UktubAI lets you upload documents, run an AI-assisted research pipeline, and download outputs (e.g., PDF/HTML/DOCX/LaTeX). Use of the service is subject to plan limits and fair use; we may change or discontinue features with notice.

3. Accounts & Security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • Do not share accounts or bypass plan limits.

4. Appropriate Use

You agree not to use the service for illegal, harmful, or infringing purposes, and to comply with academic integrity policies in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for reviewing and validating any AI-assisted output before use.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance; prices may change with notice for existing subscribers.
  • Payments are non-refundable except as required by law.
  • Access continues until the end of the current billing period after cancellation.
  • Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain rights to your uploaded content and outputs. UktubAI retains rights to the service, software, and proprietary materials. Do not copy, reverse engineer, or misuse our technology.

7. Data Handling

We handle personal and research data as described in our Privacy Policy. We rely on third parties (e.g., Stripe for payments, Supabase for auth/storage). We do not sell your data.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, availability, or compliance with any third-party or academic requirements. You should independently verify outputs.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UktubAI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or (b) $100 USD.

10. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or non-payment. Upon termination, your access ceases and we may delete associated data subject to our Privacy Policy and legal requirements.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date and, where required, provide notice. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
